This is the next in our series of Masterclasses exploring the online world and what that means to music businesses.We have another amazing panel joining us in this session, they include:
- Ning.com's Charles Porch, is their Manager of Strategic Relationships. Ning is a social networking service with a twist - it empowers people to create their own social websites and social networks. In this role, Charles has helped with the development of social networks for artists such as Radiohead, Good Charlotte, 50 Cent and Natasha Bedingfield. Previously Charles was the Manager of Mobile Marketing at Warner Bros Records.
- Filter Creative Group's Penny Hewson, is formerly of ARTIST DIRECT and now Head of Online Marketing with Filter, working with artists like PJ Harvey, Portishead, Wolfmother and MGMT.
- Make Savage Artist Management's Mike Savage, who has worked in all segments of the music business and he currently manages internet sensation Meiko signed to MySpace/Geffen Records.
- Musicadium's Nick Crocker, is is their General Manager. Musicadium is Australia's dedicated digital distributor. The company works with independent artists and labels around the world giving Nick insight into what does and doesn't cut it in the world of digital music marketing and promotion.
- Spaceland Record's Kamran V is someone who has worked in the new media space for some time, being a veteran of the New Media department at Interscope.
- Austrade Los Angeles' Peter Cohen, brings his wide ranging insight from his work as an A&R rep with Sony Music, in management roles with a number of artists, and has extensive experience in artists' new media campaigns.
