media and music conference, Canadian Music Week brings together the world's top
industry professionals to participate in a three-day program of activities.
Designed to stimulate the exchange of market intelligence, increase dialogue and
provide networking opportunities, the CMW Executive Conference includes over 75
panels featuring over 360 industry experts. Canadian Music Week is where you

CMW's Festival - Canadian Music Fest - is the nation's largest
New Music Festival spanning four nights of performances with over 500 showcasing
bands at 45 live music venues throughout downtown
Toronto. From The Arcade Fire to KT Tunstall,
CMW is the place to hear the hottest acts, from home and abroad, both famous and
unknown.
The CMW International Marketplace (IMP) is a
business-to-business resource center. Here is where international registered
Executive delegates are assisted in pre-planning their meetings and showcasing
their business. The IMP provides the support you need to connect with Canadian
companies who may be looking to do business with you. Benefits include:

once-in-a-year opportunity to get your band in the face of those who matter.
From A&R reps and music publishers to booking agents and talent buyers, over
3,000 industry insiders from
Canada and beyond descend on the streets of
Toronto looking
for the next big thing. Here is the chance to get your music heard, but only IF
YOU ARE THERE.
For bands interested in performing, submissions are
currently being accepted exclusively through Sonicbids at www.sonicbids.com/cmw2009. As an
added bonus, all bands will have the opportunity to be spotlighted in the
"Artist Feature" on the Canadian Music Week homepage. Bands will be spotlighted
on a weekly basis. All artists who submit before October 31st will have an
opportunity to win an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra guitar, courtesy of Gibson. All
entrants will receive a free year's subscription to Canadian Musician
magazine.
All Festival Applicants, whether chosen or not to perform, will
receive ONE complimentary delegate pass to the 2009 TUNEUP Conference (part of
Canadian Music Week) (Value = $250 CAD). All bands must pre-register for the
TUNEUP Conference by January 18, 2009. Registration details will be supplied in
December 2008 with notification of your acceptance to the Festival.
